When and how can I vote?.
Members will be able to cast their votes, using paper ballots, on either:
Wednesday, November 28, or
Wednesday, December 5
APSA and CUPE 3338
Members will be able to cast their votes, on-line, from:
Friday, November 30, 12:01 am, to
Wednesday, December 5, 1:30 pm
Who can vote?
The SFU Administrative/Union Pension Plan is a benefit arising from an agreement between APSA, CUPE 3338, the Poly Party and the University. It is only by agreement between those four parties that the pension plan may be amended. The University has already vote in favour of the proposed amendments. The current members of APSA, CUPE 3338 and the Poly Party remain to vote on amendments to the plan.
There are a number of people that have become members of the pension plan that are not represented by any of the three aforementioned employee groups. Instead, they were admitted into the plan by the University under the provisions of the pension plan. These plan members cannot vote on amendments to the pension plan. This group includes APEX (APSA Excluded) SFU employees and staff employed in the offices of APSA, CUPE 3338 and the Poly Party.
As soon as the EJPC has phrased the referendum question, we will post it here so that you can pre-read it and ask any questions about it that you may have.
